Outsourcing

Focusing to the core competences, namely to their fields of activity is a reasonable development for the company, however, the point which shall be taken into consideration here, is to decide which one of the many activities or processes currently undertaken by the companies are core competences. If we had to define the core competences in this way the non core competences shall be defined as those remaining outside of these but which play an important role for a smooth running of the business process and as activities which are not playing a significant role by their own within the scope of the creation of the different products.

Outsourcing means the purchasing by the enterprises the works which do not require the core or basic competences other than the works which are taking as basis only the competences and abilities held by them, from the enterprises which are specialized in their own fields.

At this point the outsourcing has two important usage legs: Focusing on the core competences which ensure the competition advantage, Ensuring the input of the materials or services according to the necessary quality standards by means of the other enterprises specialized on these subjects for the activities remaining out of the scope of the core competences.
